Welcome!

Hello everyone and welcome to The Craic in Cork!

“The Craic” is a staple in traditional Irish terminology and is pronounced “crack.” This Gaelic word is synonymous to having a good time with good company. There is no direct American English translation, however I believe that I will get very integrated into the idea of finding some craic.

This blog will follow my travels while studying abroad at the University College Cork in the city of Cork, Ireland. I am a third-year student at Butler University and am unbelievably ecstatic to have the opportunity to spend my spring semester overseas. Click on “Posts” in the upper righthand corner to see what I’ve been up to!

Stay tuned for weekly updates of my adventures abroad while searching for the craic!
