Irwin Library was the site of the Phi Beta Kappa Class of 2011 initiation Saturday, April 2. Thirty-four students and three alumni were initiated into the chapter. The week of March 7 – 11 is BE HAITI Week at Butler University. The proceeds of BE HAITI events will go to benefit the construction of a hospital in Les Cayes, Haiti.
During the month of March, Irwin Library will host items from Haiti on display for auction as part of the BE HAITI campaign. Come in and browse the beautiful artwork and decorative pieces and place a bid on an item. Be the movement. BE HAITI.

While the University is closed tomorrow due to the winter storm, Irwin Library will be open Tuesday, February 1 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Minimal staffing will be in place.
Butler’s College Republicans and College Democrats will host U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar Saturday, Jan. 22, for a forum on public service and civility in civic engagement. Open to Butler students, faculty and staff only, the event starts at 2 p.m. in the Collaborative Learning Center, Irwin Library. The event is cosponsored by the President’s Office and the Center for Citizenship and Community.
