If you will be traveling to another country this summer, we recommend you check out Global Road Warrior, one of the Butler Libraries’ subscription databases.
You will find cultural, economic, and travel information on over 170 countries, including such handy information as visa requirements, how to tip, health advisories, cultural stereotypes, how to get Internet access, and advice for women traveling alone.
Use your Butler login information to access the database from off campus (and around the world).
The Information Commons is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 academic year. There will be several openings for new students to work as Information Commons Assistants.
For more information about the Information Commons program, its mission, job description, and how to apply, visit http://www.butler.edu/library/library-information/departments/information-commons
Irwin Library will be closing at 9:00 pm on Monday so everyone can cheer on the Bulldogs. The Science Library will still be open for the overly dedicated to use library services during the game. 🙂
Tuesday, April 5, both libraries will open at 10:00 am with the rest of campus.
GO DAWGS!!
Here are some of the celebrations going on during April (besides the Butler Bulldogs making it to the Final Four again):

- International Twit Award Month
If you are trying to use a library database and getting a red screen with an error saying:
The site’s security certificate has expired!
we are aware of the problem. It is perfectly safe to click “Proceed Anyway” and use the databases. We are working to get the security certificate renewed so this error disappears.
NOTE: This problem has been fixed!
