Librarians –
I’m going
to set Friday August 12 as the deadline for all changes/editions to the Subject
Resource Guides (print and online).
This year
my completion of the updates is tied to the new content management system® and
our new web presence. So, hopefully
these projects will be resolved soon.
However,
due to the uncertainty that surrounds these projects, there is a small chance
that everything will not be updated before the semester starts. If this is the
case I’ll likely work on those SRGs that are used by librarians for instruction
and then update the rest.
If you have
any changes/editions, etc., please get them to me by August 12 in your preferred
format (i.e., print, electronic).
Thanks!
Brad
If you find yourself lacking sufficient articles for your research or
having any kind of difficulty with using our databases or searching for
material, please remember that the Reference Desk is staffed most of
the day and evening on weekdays during the school year.
We can be reached at 940-0235, via email at irwinreference@butler.edu, or via AOL Instant Messenger at Butler Reflib.
Science reference assistance is available at 940-9401 or by emailing bhowes@butler.edu.
This blog is for library staff only. It’s a place for us to
communicate as needed, but without the public accessing the contents.
We will soon have subcategories set up, so we can organize the posts by
topic within this secure environment.
Students have asked, and the
Libraries have answered. Beginning Fall semester 2005, the Irwin
Library will now open at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. Also, Sunday
through Thursday, Irwin Library is open until 1:00 a.m. for your
research and study needs.
