Irwin Library now has a charging station available for charging your mobile devices. It is located at the Information Commons Desk and has the following types of connections:
- iPod/iPhone connectors
- mini-USB
- micro-USB
- USB sockets
If your device uses any of these connections for charging, you are invited to recharge at the Information Commons Desk while using the library. You don’t even have to bring an adapter!
(NOTE: The library is not responsible for stolen, lost, or misplaced devices.)
In observance of the Labor Day holiday on Monday September 6th, both the Irwin and Science libraries will be open from Noon-8 PM. Regular semester hours will resume on Tuesday, September 7th. Irwin Library welcomed first-year students Sunday, August 22 by holding a “Find a Trail to the Library” Open House. Students and their families had an opportunity to build a trail mix snack as they visited various service desks and library spaces to learn about what Butler Libraries has to offer. 362 Students and family members stopped by!
Both the Irwin and Science libraries will be open special hours for Welcome Week (Aug. 21-28).

Due to the President’s annual State of the University Address and the facutly and staff back to school picnic, Irwin Library* will close briefly to allow Librarians and Staff to attend these events.
