Dear Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to invite you to an Indy Tea Party, commemorating the foundation’s very first private and public event, The Leader of the Band Exhibit Reception and Preview.
For many reasons, August 15th will be a proud day for us, but none are more important than our collective ability to sustain opportunities in higher education for deserving students.
There’s a crisis at hand, one that indicates that the next bubble to burst will be, you guessed it, higher education. According to the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education, average college tuition and fees have increased by 440 percent, more than four times the rate of inflation and almost twice the rate of medical care. The Butler University and Miles College students we’ve committed to help need us now, more than ever.
Please join us on Sunday, August 15th in the spirit of a contribution, in your person or both, as we formally introduce our efforts and unveil an amazing exhibit to the Indianapolis community.
Due to space limitations, we ask that you RSVP no later than August 10. RSVP by calling 203.253.2907.
Thank you for your consideration.
Marla McDaniels Heath, President

We’ve come a long way in just a year and extend our heartfelt thanks to private donor, Ms. Nancy Wiser, for her guidance and support of the exhibit construction.
We extend a standing ovation to the Indianapolis Jazz Foundation for their support of our preview reception.
We also appreciate those of you who share our story and mission with others. Please continue to forward our emails and share our links.
