Members of the Indiana Business Information Alliance (IBIA) will be meeting at Butler University’s Irwin Library Thursday, March 11, at 1:30 pm. The purpose of this group is to provide information sharing, collaboration, and support in the field of business librarianship. IBIA members include academic, special, and public librarians, information specialists, and LIS students from across Indiana.
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in business research. The March 11 session will focus on demonstrations and discussions of international business resources. The specific location of the meeting is Irwin Library, Room 119.
The 9th annual Celebration of Scholarship and Creative Activity is quickly approaching. This exhibit runs throughout February in the Irwin Library, highlighting and celebrating the accomplishments of Butler faculty and staff during the last year.
Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit items that have been published, performed, or produced in the last year. The deadline for submissions will be January 15, 2010. Guidelines, details, and submission forms are available on the Library website.
Need a quiet place to study or pound out that paper into the wee hours? Irwin Library will be open all night on Monday, Dec. 14 through Tuesday morning, Dec. 15. There will be sweet and salty snacks, cold drinks, and plenty of coffee available for free to get you through the night. Refreshments will be available beginning at 10:00 pm on Monday evening.
