Butler Libraries welcomed new students and their parents Sunday, August 24 with a Library Open House. Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches were served and went fast with this hot Hoosier heat. Over 500 families and students passed through Irwin Library’s doors. While furniture, computers, and final touches are still coming, Irwin Library and the Butler University College of Education are building an Education Commons environment in the lower level of Irwin Education students to use for their study and research. The northwest corner of the lower level of Irwin now houses the Library’s education book and journal collection as well as the Curriculum Resource Center materials. In the coming weeks, furniture, computers, and a podcasting room will be installed.
Know that all students are welcome to use this reconfigured and updated area along with the Education students!
