The steps on the west side of Irwin Library are scheduled to be removed and replaced. During the project, the main entrance will be closed. An alternative entrance will be located on the North end of the building (facing Clowes Hall) and signs will be posted directing patrons to the temporary entrance.
In addition, the landings above and below the steps will be removed and replaced. Finally, some of the blue/gray stamped concrete will be removed and replaced between the Irwin steps and Star Fountain.
Work will begin the week of July 15. The contractor will complete the new installation by Aug. 16.
Butler University Libraries will observe the following hours from July-3-5 due to the July 4th holiday and electrical work on campus. PLEASE NOTE: Irwin will close early on Friday the 5th but Science will remain open until 5pm that day.
