Through the generosity of the Center for Global Education, I traveled to Havana, Cuba for a seminar on social Justice during and after the Cuban Revolution. This trip certainly deserves a long post of its own and a photo album. The trip has inspired me to plan for a week-long Spring 2020 trip for my course HST 303 Public History. While still very much in the planning stages, I am really excited about taking a group of Butler undergrads to Havana to engage in the politics and possibilities of public history in the Spring of 2020.
