  • DREAMS

    by DANIEL

Fount pens are to drawing as science fiction is to books.
Fire expresses the burning desire in his eyes to be the best.
Hate is love but love is also hate.
We tend to cast away the memories we need to appreciate.
We should take care of our dreams just like we take care
of a newborn baby. Dreams are special dreams
are grand, dreams aren’t meant to be diminished in the
sand. Dreams of success and fortune I hold dear
to my heart, and to think this is the dream
I chose from the start, to have that
special someone is all that I need to
one day eventually plant my seed. Through
the struggles through the pain this
dream is my destiny, my goal; my claim
to fame this dream is not only
important it is what I will obtain.

  • BEAVER ISLAND

    by DANIEL

Beaver Island was originated in 1862. This island is known to be started by beavers who still rule the island. The beavers built the city as well as damns to protect it from floods and extreme weather. Beaver Island was very rural at first until 1865 when a ship crash-landed on the island. Soon after the Americans began to venture onto the island in search of food and shelter.

At first the beavers were pissed that these humans were trying to take over their island. Even though the beavers and humans didn’t see eye-to-eye they negotiated. The humans built stable towns and shacks on the island to accommodate both the beavers and the humans. Each party elected a leader. The humans elected a middle-aged man named Doug as their leader and the beavers elected Mr. Beaver as theirs.

The two leaders could not stand each other and they were always at each other’s throats. One day Doug called Mr. Beaver out and told him to meet him by his mama’s house at three o’clock. They met and fought to try to determine who was going to be the undisputed leader of Beaver Island.

The bout ended in a draw due to the fact that Doug died of rabies and Mr. Beaver died due to a stab wound. After their death the inhabitants of Beaver Island decided not to elect a new leader but that everyone was equal and that Beaver Island should remain as peaceful as possible.

  • POETRY IS ME

    by DANIEL

Poetry. Poetry. Say that word one more time.
Poetry it is an extension of me…
    Who knows without poetry
I might even cease to be.
It never makes fun of me it never teases
It is as gentle and as soft as I want it to be.
Or it could be mean and mad it’s all up to me.
The words that were written are thus now spoken
When I write, I write for freedom not just for me
but for all the other dreaming children out here
I take this seriously it might as well be severe.
Ears full of negativity, that’s all it seems to be
A lot of times you just have to sit and flow
What’s great about poetry is you determine when you go.
Be creative, goofy, think outside the box…
    1234 look at the fox.
Never listen to the haters they are everywhere…
    Some are your friends
Yes sad but this I swear.
The ones that are hating are usually hating on me
but I pay them no mind thus their claims are not benevolent,
they act out of ignorance which makes them irrelevant
