Any faculty or staff person at Butler University is welcome to participate in the Healthy Horizons Program.
How much does it cost?
Everything offered by Healthy Horizons is completely FREE to you. There is no cost to any of the services or programs offered by Healthy Horizons.
Do you have to have Butler’s health insurance to participate?
No. Any Butler faculty member or staff person is able to utilize the services and programs offered by Healthy Horizons.

Will any of my health information be sent to my insurance company?
No. Your privacy matters, especially when it involves your health. Healthy Horizons is committed to keeping patient records and information confidential. The program is in full compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). You can view our privacy policies here:
Can you send my health screening results to my current healthcare provider?
Yes. All you need to do is fill out an authorization for us to disclose the information to your healthcare provider and we can fax it over for you.
What types of lab tests do you provide?
Healthy Horizons is currently able to offer the following lab tests to you at no cost:

Earn Rewards for your healthy habits! The Fall 2013 Rewards Card is now available online on the Healthy Horizons website. Access the online PDF form. New prizes have been added in each category for this year!

Pete the Planner will be back on campus to present another financial-wellness program, “One Hour to Change,” on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. in the Johnson Board Room.

One Hour to Change is an entertaining and educational hour that will leave you inspired to make financial changes in your life. In this program, you will learn everything you need to know to get on the road to financial health.

A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course will be held on campus this Fall.
The 8-week course will be held in Jordan Hall 083 on Tuesdays from 4:00pm-6:30pm (+ retreat). The course fee is $250 with dates of the class as follows:
Potential participants are invited to attend an orientation session which outlines MBSR, the time and energy commitment required, what to and what not to expect, and a short experience of mindfulness practice. Attendees are also asked to complete a confidential health questionnaire. Those who register for class have a short one-on-one meeting with the teacher to ascertain the appropriateness of the class for them and to answer any questions. Class registration is offered at the end of the orientation and is on a “first come” basis.
Please attend one of the following orientation sessions for more information. In order to participate in the course, attendance at one of the following orientation sessions is required:
