Ch 6 and Final Reflection

After reading “Not For Sale” and discussing it in class or even with some of my classmates, the main thing I took away from reading this book are more details as to how, who, why, and where human trafficking takes place. I think that it is important that more and more people become aware of this issue. I can agree that I was one of those ignorant/misinformed individuals who had no idea that this type of thing could happen anywhere.

The effect it had on me personally was that I become more informed and aware of the situation and issue of human trafficking. I think poverty and human trafficking go nearly hand-in-hand as an issue. I think the two are very correlated. I think the two issues amplify each others’ problem and makes both poverty and human trafficking even worse.

I don’t think my perceived notion on poverty and human trafficking had to change that much this semester. My view over a period of time hasn’t had to change very much but has been confirmed.

I think this was a valuable and meaningful topic for the course and volunteer work and such… My opinion is that I wish we could of seen how we could personally pick this as a topic and how we can help with the the nerve clubs or bridges that
