Overall, I found that the chanting of scripture sounding very calming. There is not a lot of variation in pitch, which I attribute to the flow of the chanting. If there was more variation in pitch, I think that it would be harder to continue that chant.

I find it interesting how long chants can be. While Psalm 134 is only 3 verses in the NRSV English translation, the chants are approximately 5 minutes long or longer. I understand that chants repeat often, but I’m curious to find out how many times they repeat before the chant ends.
