The Bible and Music

I loved exploring this song in depth. I sang this when I was younger, but I did not understand the full meaning behind this song. After discussing the song, it represents a large meaning that I would not have been able to comprehend as a child. The house variations within the song (on the sand and on the rock) represents the life you will have. If you build your “house” or life on a strong principle with Jesus in it, you will have a blessed life. If you build your life without Jesus in it, or on a sandy surface, you will be foolish and not have a blessed life. All of this is a very deep message that is hard to convey to a young child. This is the best way to be able to share with them that it is important to live a life with Jesus.
