The Bible and Music

I enjoyed learning more about the importance and meaning behind children’s bible songs.  I learned that the songs are generally simple, repetitive, reassuring, and upbeat, which isn’t always the image of the words of the bible.  I enjoyed hearing my classmates songs and thinking back to the bible songs that I used to listen to daily.  When I was little, my family always sang “Jesus Loves Me This I Know” every night before bed.  After looking over the lyrics, some of the words were completely different than the words that I used to sing as a toddler.  It was a nice reminder of childhood and how everything had such a positive spin on it.
