The Bible and Music

Professor Felice was super insightful and extremely interesting. Felice began by talking a little about Schoenberg’s Aron and Moses piece. In this piece, Aron sang and Moses used a vocal technique called Sprechgesang. This dichotomy speaks not only to the story but to the relationship between Aron and Moses and the relationship between these two and God. Professor Felice’s music was beautiful. I loved the piece that he wrote and his wife preformed. It was lovely. I thought Professor Felice was perfect for this class. Not only does he make sacred music but he is also evangelical in faith. Music and the Bible are his life. I just thought this was pretty cool.
