Blue Crew Requirements

Joining the Butler Blue Crew is a privilege granted to a select few Butler students who demonstrate the best of desired attributes, including school spirit, campus involvement, experience with animals, personality and responsibility. Listed below are the requirements and preferred desirables for Butler Blue Crew candidates.

Requirements

The following are requirements necessary for students who seek to be a part of the Butler Blue Crew:

• Full-time Butler Student in Good Standing.
• Complete Application and Interview.
• Approved driver.
• Experience with dogs or animals.
• Can sing the Butler War Song.
• Bark Tutor Training Session (upon acceptance).
• Commit a minimum of two hours per week.
• Lift 65+ lbs.
• Can put hand in dog’s mouth.

Preferences and Desirables

The following attributes, skills, and talents are preferred, but not required for students who wish to be a member of the Butler Blue Crew:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Social media savvy.
• Photography.
• Videography.
• Graphic design.
