As the 2025 NFL offseason approaches, the free agent market is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing in recent memory. With multiple franchise altering players potentially hitting the open market, several teams are poised to make big moves to deepen their rosters. Here’s a look at some of the top upcoming free agents and where they could land.

Tee Higgins – WR, Cincinnati Bengals

With Cincinnati not having a ton of cap space available this offseason, Higgins may be the odd man out in Cincinnati. The Carolina Panthers, desperate to provide Bryce Young with weapons, could aggressively pursue the big-bodied receiver. Another potential suitor could be the New England Patriots, whose lack of playmaking at wideout has plagued their offense in recent years.

Trey Smith- G, Kansas City Chiefs.

Trey Smith will be the most sought after offensive lineman in this years free agency. The Chicago Bears, desperate to protect Caleb Williams, who was the most sacked Quarterback this past season. The Bears will be looking to turn their offense around with hiring the offensive guru Ben Johnson as their head coach.

Chavarious Ward- CB, San Francisco 49ers

Ward has been a top corner in the NFL for the last couple of seasons, and there will be plenty of suitors looking to add some cornerback depth. The New England Patriots would be a potential suitor, with a new defensive minded head coach looking to add a veteran to their young talented defense.

Sam Darnold-QB, Minnesota Vikings

Darnold, coming off of a career reviving year in Minnesota, is going to be looking to secure a long term contract. The Las Vegas Raiders will be a team that might be aggressive in pursuing a veteran quarterback in the Offseason. The Vikings will also most likely have the first shot at Darnold, but with a healthy JJ McCarthy coming back next season, the Vikings may be hesitant to give Darnold a long term deal.
