The Butler Women’s Lacrosse team completed their tour out west with games against Oregon and Stetson. Despite picking up two losses, a key player has been unlocked for this team.

Freshman attacker Maggie Lewis posted five goals across the two games, including a hat trick against the Ducks. The team leader in goals and draw controls looks to continue her hot streak.

Junior captain Elise Latham leads the team in assists and has collected three goals on her own, while fellow captain Patricia Lynn has contributed to nearly half of the team’s draw controls (8).

Defensively, five players have split the ground ball production with two each. Senior captain Grace Hensley gives credit to her coach for the team’s collective efforts.

“Coach Meg has already had a huge impact on me as a leader and a defender,” Hensley said. “She always knows the right thing to say to help me and others enjoy the journey and be as productive as we can.”

The Bulldogs will look to get back on track with two weeks without games ahead of their third game at Youngstown State on Friday, Feb. 28.
