Introducing NAXOS!

Want to listen to music online? For free? We have added a database to our collection of academic databases that allows that very thing!

The Naxos Music Library is an online collection of music that includes the complete Naxos, Marco Polo, and Dacapo catalogues of over 85,000 tracks. Genres covered include Classical, Jazz, World, Folk and Chinese music.

The database also provides access to notes on the works being played
as well as biographical information on composers or artists. All these
are accessible from computers on and off campus by signing on with your Butler user name and password.

The subscription currently limits us to 3 simultaneous users, so if
you cannot get in, please try again in a few minutes. Also, when you’re
done listening, please click “Log Off” before you close the window, so
another user can get in more quickly.

If you have any questions about Naxos, please contact our Reference Desk or Sheri Stormes, our Music & Fine Arts Librarian.
