Butler Baseball kicked off their spring semester this past Saturday, as they hosted their 3rd annual first pitch dinner here in the Riley room.

The night was highlighted by keynote speaker and color commentator for the Cincinnati Reds Danny Graves. Butler Director of Athletics, Tom Crowley, and head coach Dave Schrage also addressed to the sold out crowd.

In addition, the event had both a silent and live auction to raise money for the team throughout the upcoming season. Items varied from baseball tickets with field access to signed jerseys and sports equipment donated by families of players and partners of the team.

Butler are coming off one of the best seasons in school history, finishing last year with a 34-20 overall record and their first ever appearance in the Big East Tournament. Head coach Dave Schrage is also entering his second season with Butler.

The Bulldogs first game takes place February 15 in Lexington, SC versus Rider.
