NBA All-Star weekend kicks off on February 14th in San Francisco at the Chase Center. Headlined by celebrities and the world’s best athletes, there will be constant entertainment throughout the weekend.

Regarding the All-Star game, in previous years, players were drafted by team captains, but the NBA has introduced a new format. On February 6th, popular analysts Shaquille O’neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith will select three teams of eight from the pool of all-stars.

Joining those three teams will be the winner of the Rising Stars game, which takes place on Friday, February 14th. Once the teams are set, they will compete in a mini-tournament featuring three games, with each game being a race to 40 points.

While most of the players will be attending and participating, it is important to note that some stars will have to miss the event due to injury. Giannis Antetokounmpo will be replaced by Trae Young and Anthony Davis will be replaced by Kyrie Irving. Both Davis and Giannis have been sidelined dealing with lower body injuries.

The weekend is also highlighted by a couple of other fun events. before the Rising Stars game, celebrities like Kai Cenat, Druski, and Noah Kahan will compete in the All-Star Celebrity game.

The following night, two-time defending champion Mac McClung looks to go for the three-peat in the dunk contest. McClung, who plays for Orlando Magic’s G-League team, has been the face of the event for two years now. Alongside him will be Matas Buzelis (Bulls), Stephon Castle (Spurs), and Andre Jackson Jr. (Bucks).

With all the star power and entertainment, the 2025 Nba All-Star weekend is shaping up to be an unforgettable showcase of talent and fun.
