Butler Baseball gets their first win on the road this weekend against Norfolk State.

The Bulldogs went on the road to North Carolina to face off against Norfolk State in the second series of their season. After coming off a tough loss against Tarleton State last weekend, losing all three games.

This weekend the Bulldogs showcased their scoring power, putting double digits on the board in both their games and even shutting out the Spartans for the second game.  Jack Moroknek was a stand-out performer with two home runs and five RBIs.

On the mound in game one, Ben Whiteside and Brett Sherrard pitched with a combined eleven strikeouts, 8 from Whiteside, and 3 from Sherrard. 

In game two Marcus Goodpaster, Corbin Snyder, and Gabe Pancratz, combined for another eleven strikeouts altogether. Goodpaster and Pancratz both contributed four strikeouts, while Pancrats struck out the only three batters he matched up against.

The third game was canceled due to weather conditions but the Bulldogs walked away with their first series win.

[edit] The Bulldogs will no longer face off against Bowling Green on Tuesday 02/25 due to weather conditions. For their next contest, they will head to Louisville for their game on Wednesday 02/26.

Then they will head to Ohio for their third season series. be on the lookout on Friday 02/28 for their next long battle.
