The Butler men’s basketball team will kick-off the inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament on March 31 when it plays Utah at 1 p.m. The game will be hosted inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Butler is 3-1 all-time versus the Runnin’ Utes.
The 16-team postseason tournament starts on Monday, March 31, and the championship game is slated for Sunday, April 6. The first round of the tournament and quarterfinals are set to air on FS1 with the semifinals and finals airing on FOX.
Four teams from the Big East are represented in Georgetown, DePaul, Villanova and the Bulldogs.
In the Big 12, Utah put up an 8-12 record with key wins over BYU and Kansas who both made an appearance in the NCAA tournament — with BYU still dancing.
With a win, Butler will face off against the winner of George Washington-Boise State.
