In the back half of their seasons, Butler softball is looking to close out their last two conference series before the Big East tournament, while baseball is looking to turn their season around in the last month of regular-season play. Right now, Softball is in the middle of the pack of the Big East, standing in at 4th. The Bulldogs are looking to grab some wins from their last two series of the regular season against Villanova and Seton Hall. Along with their last two conference series, they also play two single games against Southern Indiana and IU Indy.
Currently, the dogs are also coming off a recent loss streak after a tough series on the road against Creighton. Even with players Sydney Carter and Makenna Alexander hitting a couple of home runs in the series, the Bulldogs still couldn’t pull away with a win. The bulldogs are sitting fourth in all batting, pitching, and fielding, making them a well-rounded team looking towards the Big East tournament. This weekend, the Bulldogs will play a three-game series against Villanova.
Butler Baseball has much more time left in their season than softball, and they look to take advantage of it. The Bulldogs, right now, have gone up against Villanova and Seton Hall for their conference series.
Butler is seventh in the Big East conference standings, with a lot more ball left to play. On top of that, they are also the leading team in the Big East in batting with an average of .296. The team is led by Jack Moroknek, batting a .407, closely followed by Jack Bello, who’s batting a .398, which makes them the 5th and 7th top hitters in the Big East. Even after a rocky start, the bulldogs have the time and the batting power to stay competitive throughout the rest of the season. Butler looks to gain some momentum facing off against Georgetown this weekend.

Softball is looking to improve their resume with their last few series and hone in their skills with the tournament right around the corner, as Baseball improves upon their difficulties and keeps their hitting game strong.
