The center seeks to explore and develop the virtues required for the pursuit of reconciliation and justice through community engagement both locally and globally. Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Desmond Tutu Center is actively involved in the surrounding community through its strong ties to the Christian Theological Seminary, Butler University as well as community organizations that share in the center’s mission. Through programing and partnerships, the center extends its reach by working with social activists and organizations around the world.
DTC programs and events are based on the teachings of Archbishop Emeritus and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Desmond Tutu who has dedicated his life to reshaping conversations about peace, equality, and forgiveness.
