You are visiting the website of The Butler Beat Summer News Team of Summer 2013.

Our Television News Production team consists of twelve Australian students from both Macquarie University and Flinders University who are all studying a diverse range of degrees from screen, film, media and radio. These individuals – brought together under the guidance of their brilliant instructor Eric Esterline – bring to you a diverse selection of news and current affairs for both television and web audiences.

The news and final broadcast shown here is a mixture of breaking news packages that occurred locally and internationally during our time at Butler, as well as packages and articles we have produced ourselves.

Special thanks goes out to guest lecturers during our tenure at Butler – Scott Bridge, Dr. Kenneth Creech, Dr. Nancy Whitmore, Professor Christine Taylor, Cutler Armstrong – as well as all the “Ron Burgundy’s” of the world who have inspired us to bring you the news this summer.
