Summary

Cardiovascular disease is a nationwide problem and with homeless populations not being aware of their primary disease states, it becomes a bigger issue that needs attention. The implementation of cardiovascular risk reduction services to the Pedigo clinic will bolster Eskenazi’s efforts to improve patient outcomes in vulnerable populations. An ambulatory care pharmacist will be the front lines in managing patients disease states which will decrease the amount of cardiovascular events and improve the overall quality of life of our under served areas.
