Opening Day kicked off last Thursday and was highlighted by last year’s World Series Champion Texas Rangers.

After lifting their first championship banner into the rafters, Rangers catcher Jonah Heim reminded Cubs fans of why they are called the Lovable Losers. With the bases loaded Heim hit a walk off in the 10th inning to secure a 4-3 victory.

Heading north to the Big Apple, it only took a few hours into Opening Day for the benches to clear after Milwaukee Brewers Rhys Hoskins slid into New York Mets Jeff McNeil at second base. The next day things escalated after Mets pitcher Yohan Ramirez retaliated by throwing a pitch behind Hoskins leading to his ejection. Hoskins would get the last laugh after crushing his first homerun of the season and helping the Brew Crew sweep the Mets.

Fast forward to Monday, where after the Houston Astros were swept by the New York Yankees, the Astros pitcher Ronel Blanco shocked the world by throwing a no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays. What made this night even sweeter was that this was the earliest recorded no-hitter in MLB history,

Taking a look at the current standings, as of Tuesday night, only three teams remain undefeated. In the American League, the Detroit Tigers are off to a hot start with a 4-0 record while the Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates have also yet to drop a game.

This season is already off to a wild start, so make sure to tune in the rest of the year to find out what sort of chaos will happen next!
