UFC is back in Sydney, Australia on February 8th. This pay per view event is headlined by the Middleweight Title Fight. The middleweight division is for those 185 lbs or less. The champion Dricus Du Plessis puts his belt on the line against the number one contender Sean Strickland. These two fighters have fought before with Dricus Du Plessis beating Sean Strickland by split decision. It should be a very highly skilled fight with both of these fighters holding the belt at one point.
The co-main event is the Women’s Strawweight Championship. The strawweight division is for those fighters between 106 and 115 lbs. The champion Zhang Weili puts her belt on the line against the number one contender Tatiana Suarez. Weili has been a dominant champion, but Suarez is currently undefeated. Weili looks to defend her belt for the third time in a row while Suarez looks to beat her best competition to date.
The final highlighted fight is a heavyweight bout between Tallison Teixeira vs Justin Tafa. The heavyweight division is the biggest division in the UFC as fighters can weigh up to 265 lbs. Tallison Teixeira is fighting in his first UFC pay per view event with an undefeated record of seven and zero. He put the UFC on notice when he knocked out Arthur Lopes in the first round of Dana White’s Contender Series. His opponent, Justin Tafa, has been in the UFC since 2019 and looks to give Teixeira his first loss as a professional fighter. Overall, it will be an incredible event for all to see.
