Internship
This semester, I have continued working at my internship with the Web Marketing and Communications Department at Butler University. Interning here has been an incredible process because I have had the unique opportunity to be a part of the re-branding process.
This events website banner was really fun to create. I took most inspiration from the poster that was distributed as a promotional item to let people know all of the information for the theater production.
Another really fun thing that I got to make was this birthday certificate that will be mailed to any of our alumni that turn 100 years old. It was really cool to be able to take the old branding on a subject, and update it to the fresh, new branding.
Another opportunity I had was to be able to create the postcards for the university bookstore. I got to pick out each of the photos and put the new branding into place. I have loved being able to intern for my university, something that I am already passionate about, while also learning to be even more passionate about graphic design.
Independent Study
So far, January and February have been used for a lot of research and development on my ideas of altered books. I have just started the beginnings of my next book with all new pages and new memories. For now, here is a look at my basis from where I began my initial ideas of the “Memory Book.”
