Some of our friends noticed an interesting bug in our classroom today. We spent some time acting as scientists so that we could get to know more about our bug.
Some of our bug comments:
It climbs on the wall.
It blends in like a chameleon.
It has orange stripes.
It has circles on it legs.

Today we played the Train Game in Math Workshop. This is an easy game that you can play at home! All you need is a dice, and 20 items (for 2 players). Each player, in our classroom, got 10 unifix cubes and their goal was to connect their train. Once you have made an entire train the game is over and you can play again! Here are a few pictures of our friends playing the train game in class.

Yesterday we had an exciting afternoon. Our whole class went together to experience the studio for the first time. While we do have a mini studio in our room, the main studio has so much more to explore! There are light tabels, a stages, large amounts of blocks, and way more art materials! The kids were so engaged! Here are a few pictures from the experience.

Today was our first day getting to visit the studio. Students created wire creations, acted on the stage, and played in the sensory table. Upon returning to the classroom, we joined together in a math exploration of measurement. Each student took turns leaping as far as they could from a piece of tape we placed on the classroom floor. When everyone had done their best leap, we worked to figure out the best way to measure our leaps. It was decided that we needed to use a measuring tape. However, we faced a dilemma when our measuring tape was too short to measure our longest leap. OUr class worked together and decided to use a ruler and our measuring tape to measure the final leap. It was exciting to see our class work together as problem solvers.
I’m sorry to say that I didn’t get any pictures of our leaping math workshop. Ho
wever, here are some other pictures from our day.
