Website Printing

The problem we had when printing materials off the new library website has been resolved. You may recall that when we tried to print SRGs or other pages, we got a long list of links (basically the header’s dropdown links) that took up over one whole page. Plus we had Ask-A-Librarian images at the bottom of every printout.

We have now implemented Butler’s first Printing Style Sheet, a CSS file which tells the web browser to hide the header, sidebar info, etc., when printing. The result is a nicely formatted page ready for printing. Basic web pages, SRGs, citation guides, etc., will all print cleanly now, without all the extra links and things that were showing up originally.
