The earlier problem viewing newspapers in PressDisplay from off campus has been fixed.
If you continue to have any problems with PressDisplay, please contact Scott Pfitzinger at spfitzin@butler.edu. Thank you.
If you are using PressDisplay from off campus (or on campus but using wireless), you must log in through EZ-Proxy to access this or most other databases.
We are currently experiencing a technical problem with PressDisplay, where the main newspaper image will not display. This only occurs when accessing PressDisplay using EZ-Proxy. We are aware of the problem and are working to fix it as soon as possible. We will post another message here when this problem is eliminated. Thank you for your patience.
In case you didn’t catch it in the Butler News Digest today, we can now access BUfiles from off campus! It’s using a program called BUconnect:
“BUconnect is a service that allows the Butler community to access
BUfiles and other Butler services from anywhere in the world. “
To get started, visit http://www.butler.edu/ir/?pg=7268
For more information on how it all works and how to set it up (it’s VERY easy), visit http://www.butler.edu/ir/cmsExternalDocuments/WebConnect.pdf
One question that gets asked rather frequently is about whether a certain program is installed on the library computers. I’m happy to say that BOTH libraries are on I.R.’s official list of “Departmental Labs” and have all the installed programs listed on the I.R. “Lab Locations” website: http://www.butler.edu/labs/?pg=2538
I have also included this information (with a link to that same “Lab Locations” page) in the FAQ list on our website.
