The Speech and Debate Team had a great State tournament! We placed third as a school in the first ever State Parliamentary Debate Tournament and Matt Miller placed 6th overall. We placed 7th at the Individual Events State tournament on Saturday with Varsity and Novices giving their best efforts. The tournament was held here at Butler.
Senior, Lauren Lupkowski won the Indiana State Individual Events Scholarship award for her communication’s paper in the 8th Annual ISIET Scholarly Paper Competition. She received $100 for this award.
We are preparing to go to the Pi Kappa Delta National tournament in Kansas City during Spring Break.
