P3 ~ First Meeting

Date:  Thursday, Janurary 26th
Time: 7:00-8:00 pm
Location: PB156

Social media is ever-present in both the professional and personal realm. It is important for Butler University students to use professional social media as a way to network with future employers as well as develop a professional profile they can use after graduation.

P3–a moniker truncated from Professional Presence and Profile–prepares students for the professional world and assists members to development a professional online presence using a variety of tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Diigo, and RSS feeds.

P3 is an outgrowth of partnerships between the Center for Academic Technology, Butler University Libraries, Internship and Career Services, and the Learning Resource Center, and is a component of the Information Commons program.  Goals of the program include helping members create job connections and learn technology literacy skills essential for any Butler student.

In addition to learning the tools, P3 members will benefit from guest speakers who will share their experiences and aid the members in building their professional profile.
