0Today, I spent a while completing the LC Easy Tutorial. Then I learned more about Primo and several other of the databases. I looked through some Libguides, helped some alumni sign on to the computers, and started writing my article for the newsletter.

0Today was my second shift in the library! I got more in detail instructions about the duties of the desk from Ginny. I completed the LC Easy program and learned about reshelving books in the reference area. I also got my first phone call, and recorded it in LibStats.

0I helped with color printing, re shelved some reference books, loaded some paper into the printer, and counted the money and returned the cash box to the shelf by the circulation desk.

0Ginny showed me how to work the black & white and color printers, the phone, and cash box. I explored the different databases on the library’s website and looked at some of the frequent questions on BUAnswers.

0Helped a few people with printing and scanning. Then used the databases to do a small research project about Japan. (Thanks for the tip Melissa). Pretty much just worked on getting familiarized with the databases again!

0Katie gave me an introduction to the job and showed me how to fill the printer and how the copier and such worked. I explored the Info Commons lib guides and BU Answers. Ginny then showed me about the copy card and more about the scanner.

0Today I got started on my iMovie project and went through the power point and directions. I still don’t have access to the folders on my account so Erica had to send me the files. I also looked up some technology facts. I also worked in the library for my first time. Tim showed me around the desk and explained some things. I also read about some of the basic processes on LibGuides.
