scared in the woods
a story by [ravion]
Part One
Once upon a time there was a girl who was in the woods. While she was in the woods she saw a big wolf. She didn’t know it was a man dressed as a wolf. She was scared, and she ran. But the thing was, she was in the woods because she had run away. After this experience, she knew not to run away again. When she got back home she told her momma she would never run away again. Her mother put her on punishment, and the girl knew not to run away again.
Two weeks passed by, and the girl was off her punishment. She went back to the woods to see if the wolf was real. She saw the wolf again, but this time she walked up close to see if it was a real wolf. When she got close she noticed it was a man dressed in camouflage trying to get deer and bear meat to feed his family before the winter started. So the girl told the man that she had been scared the first time she had seen him. He told her he was a good man, and told her that he was just trying to hunt. After that they never saw each other again, or did they…
Part Two
The girl got older, and she went back to the woods. This time she saw that the man had built a house. She asked him how long it took to build it. He said, “Why? You thinking about moving into the woods?” He laughed, and told her it took only two months.
The girl went back home and thought about moving to the woods. At the time she and her boyfriend weren’t doing well. She was thinking she would have to adjust to a new life. Then she was like, “I’ll be saving money, though.”
She finally moved to the woods. The first few weeks she was living with the man. At first she thought this was creepy, because he was like twenty years older than her. One day they were building a house for her, and the man fell off the ladder. There was no clinic or hospital close. In the woods they had to make their own medicine or pay for it in the city. So she had to take him to the city.
After this happened, the girl moved back to the city and moved into a big house. With all the money she’d saved in the woods, she bought her house. She visited the man every once and again. Two years later the man got sick and died.
