Elizabeth was playing with her dog in the forest when the wind picked up, and a hissing began. “Hello?” she said. Nothing. She shrugged and ignored it. She checked her watch—it was 7:00 p.m.! The sun was setting. Elizabeth called her dog over and went home.

Then she heard the hiss again. It was starting to creep her out. The door flung open and a scaly creature stood in the threshold of the door to her house. She jumped back in surprise. The creature stepped closer and reached out to her. Elizabeth screamed. The creature opened its mouth. “Do you have some hand lotion?” it asked. Elizabeth threw her lotion at it. The creature spread the lotion over its skin and suddenly looked more human. “Ah,” it said, “much better.”
