It’s My Birthday; I’ll Help Others If I Want To
It’s hard to believe, but my 8th birthday is quickly approaching. Tuesday, March 27th, is the big day, but in keeping with tradition, the Butler University Student Foundation will be holding a campus party for me on Friday, March 23, from 1-3 p.m., at the campus Bookstore and Starbucks in Atherton Union.
I hope you can come to my party, enjoy some Holy Cow Cupcakes, sign my card, get a picture with me and most importantly, bring a “gift” for a dog in need.
Let’s face it, my eight years on Earth have been charmed. As official mascot of Butler University since just seven weeks of age, I’ve received more than my fair share of love, care and support. So in lieu of bring a gift for me, how a little something for some less fortunate dogs in my honor?
It’s a little something I like to call, “Bulldogs to the Rescue,” and it’s something we’re doing for more than just my birthday. On Saturday, March 24, Butler is hosting the 20th annual Bulldog Jog, but this year, the organizers have added a little something to the event for my canine friends with an inaugural 1-mile dog walk.
So I’ll be collecting items on behalf of the Indiana Bulldog Rescue and Humane Society of Indianapolisall week long, at my birthday party and at the Bulldog Jog. My goal is to fill the back of the Blue II Mobile full of items that I can deliver to both charities.
So what can you bring? Well, the Bulldog Jog website has a good listing of items that both groups need.

Join me, BUSF, the Butler Bookstore, Holistic Select, City Dogs Grocery and fellow Butler Bullodogs in helping those dogs in need. I’ll have a box outside my office all week, and there will be boxes located at the Butler Bookstore as well. Bring in the goods and I’ll do the rest.
Thanks and I hope to see you on Friday and Saturday!
