Andrew Sutherland
I remember the first time ever seeing Blue II was during the 2010 Final Four and there he was on the court with a bone in his mouth. Later they showed a shot of him resting on a basketball barking. From that moment on I fell in love with Butler and the Bulldogs. He was always a source of enjoyment, pride, and perseverance for myself as well as many other Butler students. He gave me chills when I witnessed the changing of the collars ceremony and had the whole crowd chanting for him. He was more than a dog. He was an icon. A king among dogs. A legend. And most importantly a friend. He really was America’s Dog and I am proud to say he was our dog too. I know every time I think of Butler I will think of him. Because of him, I am a Bulldog, Hell yea. Thanks for the memories Blue II.
