I’ve always been a Hoosier fan and I proudly hold two degrees from Indiana University. However, I also became a Butler Bulldogs fan during the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons. This is due not only to Blue II, but also due to the high character I observed in the players. I got to meet Blue II at the celebration event in 2011 at Hinkle. Afterwards, the fans had the chance to meet the players. They had tons of fans waiting to get autographs and pictures, but they all patiently and kindly interacted with the fans for well over an hour. All of the Butler players and coaches I met were such wonderful guys. They are EXCELLENT examples of what it means to be student-athletes. I will never forget that day. I attended the home opener for the NCAA runner-up banner ceremony. I have continued to be not only an IU fan, but a Butler fan as well, ever since. Thanks, Bulldogs, and R.I.P., Blue II.
