As a 1997 Butler graduate, I was so excited to have the honor of driving Blue II and his “Pops”, Michael Kaltenmark, in the 2011 500 Festival Parade. I will never forget the crowd yelling Blue’s name and cheering as we drove through the parade route. Sometimes Blue would bark back as the crowd cheered. I was so proud to be a Butler alumni. I have attached a photo from that day.

I was very sad to learn that Blue II had passed away. Blue was a wonderful mascot for Butler University. He will never be forgotten. Thank you to Blue’s family for your love, time and dedication to Blue and to Butler University.
