Butler Blue II – ‘In Memoriam’
Nora B
Blue, I’ll never forget the time you tweeted at me. I think it was the best day of my life. A walk to class was instantly perfect whenever I saw you on campus. Love you like my own dog.

While I have never met Blue II in person, I feel I knew him. I adored him as did so many Butler fans. My son and I followed Blue’s adventures faithfully on Facebook and Twitter. We weep with Blue’s family.
We will forever keep Blue in our hearts.

I was a cheerleader my freshman year at Butler and I got to be right there with Blue II during game time!! We will miss you Blue! I know you’re in a better place and I also now that you’ll still be cheering on our Dawgs up in doggie heaven! You will always have a special place in my heart! Rest in peace buddy.

I remember my visit here last summer and Blue II was walking around campus and I had heard so much about the famous mascot! I went and pet him and of course got a picture with him and that was the start to my journey with Butler. Thank you Blue for being the first welcome into Butler, even before I decided to come here! RIP!

I spent a happy hour one morning sitting in the campus Starbucks, watching Blue hanging out with his “Pops.” It is one of my favorite Butler memories, even though it came almost 30 years after I graduated. Thank you, dear Blue, for making so many people so happy during your 9 years with us. Much love to you…
