Blue II’s birthday/retirement party was during my kids spring break from school. We all piled in the car & made the hour trek to BU campus. When we got there I was amazed – but not surprised – at the number of people waiting in line to see him! My kids loved meeting Blue & getting their picture taken w/ him. The picture I attached is from that day. RIP Blue II – we will miss…

Still can’t really believe he is gone. When he was around on campus, everyone brightened up. He was the perfect mascot and friend. My favorite memory with Blue II was when he visited the Butler Golf team on the range at Crooked Stick.

I met Blue when my husband and I crashed the alumni party in Nashville before the Butler/VANDY game on the #BIGDAWGTOUR. My husband and I AREN’T alumni!! My phone doesn’t ring, it “barks”! I joined Twitter to keep up with Blue and ButlerMBB. Oh, you will be missed but never forgotten. Comforted by the fact you can now breathe easy; AND, there are NO baths in Heaven!
