I spent a happy hour one morning sitting in the campus Starbucks, watching Blue hanging out with his “Pops.” It is one of my favorite Butler memories, even though it came almost 30 years after I graduated. Thank you, dear Blue, for making so many people so happy during your 9 years with us. Much love to you…

Thank you Blue II for being a wonderful representative of a great university. What you and “Pops” have done for Butler is a great model for other universities, businesses and brands. We loved having you join us at the FCA mid-year conference in 2011, and I especially enjoyed getting a photo with you and all the other Butler grads present. Rest in peace – you’ll be loved and fondly remembered…

Let’s paws and take a moment to remember America’s favorite dawg, Blue II. He gave us his heart! He made us smile, laugh and cry. No dog has ever gotten me as emotional as Blue II. He was most vocal during photo sessions, but because of his cuteness we didn’t mind! I will miss you, sweet buddy! You have left truly big paws to fill…lucky Trip learned from the best! Have fun chasing bunnies…

You have made my freshman year at Butler such an enjoyable experience. Seeing you everyday after classes and sometimes skipping some was totally worth it! You made choosing Butler one of the greatest decisions in my life! Thanks for the memories Blue! Gone but never forgotten.

My husband and I got to see Blue II and Blue III and pet them after leaving a home game back in February. They were both adorable and very friendly. I just can’t believe Blue II is gone, but he will live on through Butler’s historical archive of pictures and in the memories of our hearts! There is indeed another loving, cuddly soul in doggie heaven!! God Bless you Blue II for touching our lives…

Butler Blue II, blue2, has to be considered one of the greatest mascots in NCAA history. Not only helping bring Butler to prominence in sports but being an ambassador for food, clothing, and other information with the school. Blue always loved to be rubbed and loved. and He was a great supporter of his teams irregardless of the sport or gender… although I think he liked the ladies best. :)…
