Today I did my Audacity training recording and finished putting my audio file together. I exported and uploaded my track to Moodle. I wasn’t able to export as an mp3 because the Macs I was using didn’t have the mp3 encoding library and I was unable to download it because I needed administrator approval. However, I exported my project as a WAV file and it worked in iTunes when I tested it. I also completed the Audacity quiz. I went back and read the PC quick guides because the split/duplicate functionality confused me on the quiz. I now see that those functions are more prominent on a PC and are slightly different when being used on a Mac. I also met with Professor Flessner this afternoon to speak about the digital storytelling training I will be doing with his class on Wednesday. He explained the project and logistics of what he wanted to be included in the presentation, so I have a better idea what to expect on Wednesday morning. For the rest of my shift, I played around with LinkedIn and also watched a TED talk about how YouTube videos go viral.
