Brett Dennen’s “Comeback Kid (That’s My Dog)” might as well be my theme song. Or at least I like to think he thought of me when he wrote the song, but that’s probably far fetched.

No really though, when he sings the line, “There goes the hero/He’s the underdog/He’s coming out on top” I just can’t help but think of our Butler Men’s Basketball team’s of the last couple of years. After all, as Brett sings, “Everybody loves the underdog…that’s my dog!”

So check out “Comeback Kid” on Brett’s 2011 release, “Loverboy.” I’m pretty certain you’ll not only be singing right along in no time, but this is also one you’ll put on the regular rotation.
