Assembly
SGA Student Assembly is the governing body of all student organizations at Butler University. It consists of representatives from each organization and meets weekly to discuss matters related to student government. Meetings are held every Wednesday at 4:30 PM in the Pharmacy and Health Sciences Building, Room 204.
Important pieces of legislative business that students have weighed their voice on recently have included: support of the Indiana LifeLine Law, formal opposition to Indiana HJR-6, as well as the approval of SGA’s plan to create a board specifically focused on Service and Philanthropy.
Additionally, this Assembly approves multiple pieces of business brought annually from the SGA Executive Board. These business items include: approval of the SGA budget and the approval of the proposed slating of SGA Vice Presidents.
